How To Establish A Relationship With Your Clients
How to establish a relationship with your clients is a question that is asked amongst many. This can make and break a business.
Many always say the customer is always right! Well, is he? I really don’t think so! But, being polite will always go further than being a major pain in the butt or making a scene.
So, how do we establish this relationship with Clients?
This takes time and loads of effort, but believe me it is well worth it. First you must establish what type of customers and clients you would like to attract and then establish a relationship with your clients!
Many businesses these days really don’t have a choice and will take on anyone who pays. Okay, that’s fine, but it doesn’t mean that you have to keep them. Some clients can be super time consumers, and suck, bleed you dry until you feel yourself pulling on your hair.
Recently I took on a client to build their website. Three months later I am still awaiting the content that they are supposed to of written. I still haven’t got a response on what day it will come exactly!
Luckily I asked for a deposit of 50% before I started. So, I decided to tell them that my rate is going up next month! Man did that kick them into gear.
I must admit they are super nice people, but I will not be adding them to my data base for further promotions. I only keep top payers and performers there!

How Do I Know Which Clients To Attract?
This is done by attraction marketing principles. Below I have created a list that will help!
Choose a target market in your field or Niche and market to them.
Tell your clients that you want to establish a relationship with them and that you only keep a select amount of clients. (This makes them feel special)
Watch your marketing and who you market to. Example: If you have the name super cheap websites you will attract a lower end client.
Establish the age group you will be marketing to, and plan in advance how you will establish a relationship with them.
Online businesses can have a survey (try the free one at survey monkey) that clients can fill out to establish whether they fit into your marketing. Remember this is not a sale. This is a long term prospect that grows with you as you grow! Sales can still be a one off, then you establish whether they will go into your list or database!
Online marketers who create a list will target a list within their Niche. Too many online marketers think that you just need a massive amount of numbers and they will make money. This is very far from the truth. First you must have someone in your list that is interested in your service or product. Then you need to establish the relationship to create sales, branding and word of mouth!
Perform well and your clients will love you and return!
Your Clients Will Love You!
Once you establish a relationship with your clients your business will grow and develop into a roller coaster that outperforms competitors in all directions. Why, because loyalty will drive your business like a motor with never ending fuel. Clients and customers will refer you to others for your great work, services and this will over time eliminate high advertising costs.

Hi Marty, this is the fundamental fact that many businesses fail on, MAINTAINING a relationship with their clients. If you maintain the relationship, your client is going to talk to you when there is a problem because he knows you care about him and his business. If he thinks you do not give a *** because you do not work on the relationship with him, he will just take his business elsewhere. Retaining existing business is far cheaper than gaining new business!! Thanks for another great hub, voted up!
