How To Make A Great Hubpage

How to make a great Hubpage?

Well, today I am going to show you how.

Hubpages is basically a WEB 2.0 article that is fed into an rss feed. This RSS feed can be followed by regulars and build a following, as long as you don’t get off topic. If you do want to go off topic I suggest you have a range of accounts.

I myself have one account that I use for my clients articles. I use these articles to get their stories, promotions, services etc listed quickly in the search engines.

Anyway, enough of that.

Let’s discuss Hubpages

Hubpages is a great place to make friends, socialize, create content and get it seen in a wide audience. Even if you Hub doesn’t get into the search engines, don’t fret, it will get seen within the Hubpages community and believe me it’s huge.

Great Hubpages Tips Below!

Tip1: Find a Keyword phrase in the free Google Keyword Tool https://adwords.google.com/o/Targeting/Explorer?__u=1000000000&__c=1000000000&stylePrefOverride=2#search.none!ideaType=KEYWORD&requestType=IDEAS

Tip2: Look for a keyword or phrase with a high search volume above a 1000 and a low competition rate. If you are using Google’s keyword tool then look for low volume in the green bar. This is advertising competition, but it gives a nice perspective.

“You can also do a search in Google, and when the search appears and you have finished your search, you will see a number directly below the search engine box”.

It will say something like this.

Example: About 519,000 results (0.16 seconds)

This will give the approximate number of how many websites, blogs and article directories are competing for this website. Try and create content with less 100,000 competitors. Above this you need more tactics to really perform well.

Tips3: Place your title in the first edit box and!

“Follow the optimization formula from this Hubpage so your page will get found in the search engines”

Tip 4: Add photos through your content and create them at half size within the Hub (the hub does this for you once you choose your size within the editing box) Place your photos off to the right. This way if you are receiving adsense earnings you will receive a higher click through rate.

Give your photos a name the same as your title and also fill out the description using your major keyword. (This way you will get ranked higher in Google photos, drives more traffic.

Tip5: Break your article up into sections with great catchy headings. Don’t put the whole article just into one box. Hubpages provides a score for your Hub and if it scores higher it will receive a much better listing within the Hubpages community and in the search engines.

(Don’t panic you will only score around 50 points after your hub has been created. It takes 3-7 days for your score to go up!)

Tip6: Make your Hub article longer than 500 words, above 700 is great and will receive a higher score.

Tip7: Place an outgoing link to your blog post or website; make sure it is relevant to your content. If it’s not relevant then do a Google search and link to something that is!

Tip8: Create good quality content. This content will receive more natural organic backlinks over time if it is useful for others.

Hello Marty,

I was 'hub hopping' today and came across this hub article and I am SO GLAD that I did because I can see myself spending a lot of time reading your hubs learning from your good self as there is so much to take in.

I'll be following you from across the 'big paddock' we Aussies call The Nullabour!

Hi Marty,

Really nice article...just in terms of going off topic...so do you think having 2 or 3 speciailst accounts would be better to get followings than a broad subject account like, I suppose I was trying to build?

thanks!

Yes, it would if you had the time to run both accounts! Google are now looking for social activity on the platforms to see how much the content is being passed around. How I know this is they tested it inside Youtube!
